Dagger outfitting is very comfortable, but heavier. Rewind is a faster boat than both of these, but not as playful. It looks like it would be comfortable, but, to me, it is not. I am not a big fan of liquid logic outfitting. The Rewind seeks the surface with ample volume and rocker in the bow, skipping away from drops while maintaining excellent hull speed. Dagger took the hint of the burgeoning popularity of such models and decided to up the ante with Rewind. Much wider than both the Pyranha Ripper and the Dagger Rewind. The Nymph is 274cm long (same) is 65cm wide, which makes a huge difference and a volume of 250 litres. The Rewind XS kayak is designed to teach children how to kayak. The large Ripper has the same length as the medium but is 63cm wide and 271 litres. This enhances surf control and ferrying, but does not make it as nimble, as the edges do no release as easily. For reference the Pyranha Ripper in medium is 274cm in length, 62cm wide and has a volume of 235lt. Hot whip has a much harder chine which goes from the front all the way to the tail.

Outfitting is fairly good, though i have done the back band mod to raise the back band.

The fire cracker is extremely nimble, easy to roll, easy to get the stern down, and very predictable. We’ve used a set of images from each manufacturer and then have scaled each image to create a composite comparison image. The Pyranha Ripper, Dagger Axiom, Dagger RPM, Liquidlogic Braap and the Jackson Kayak Antix. Having paddled both the fire cracker and the hot whip, I prefer the fire cracker.
